At Bethencourt Bakehouse, we bake fresh, naturally leavened bread in small batches to ensure the highest quality. Because great sourdough takes time, we work on a preorder basis to minimize waste and bring you the freshest bread possible.
We're currently testing our new oven and getting a feel for what people love. In the meantime, you can find us at pop-up events every Saturday at noon at Eve & Murray’s in West Acton. We’ve been selling out fast, so come early if you’d like to grab some bread.
We are getting started with our weekly pre-order events. We are using a platform called Hotplate.com, that allows us to organize all the orders, and provides a payment platform.
This is how it works:
1.- Preorders Open on Sunday – Place your order starting Sunday for the upcoming baking.
2.- Order by Tuesday Night – The ordering window closes Tuesday evening so we can start the slow fermentation process.
3.- Freshly Baked on Thursday – Your bread is carefully prepared, naturally leavened, and baked to perfection.
4.- Pick Up on Thursday Afternoon – Swing by Eve & Murray's Farm to Home in West Acton, MA, from 1:30 to 5 pm to pick up your fresh sourdough.
This model allows us to focus on quality over quantity, reduce food waste, and ensure you get the best handcrafted bread possible.
